| ZOA UK
A small group of individuals with close connections to Zambia came together in the United Kingdom to form Zambia Orphans of AIDS - UK. It was registered as a UK charity (Charity Number 1116460) in October 2006. ZOA – UK was formally launched in London in June 2007 and started raising funds for disbursement to projects in Zambia which have been appraised and are managed by our Zambian Board of Trustees. ZOA UK Trustees also visit projects and evaluate expenditure in the field. The Trustees are establishing networks with funding agencies as well as with individual and corporate donors in Britain. They will also help to raise awareness in the UK of the way in which AIDS affects the children of Zambia. Within 9 months of our launch we have already supported over 1000 children with either help with school fees, uniforms and equipment, specific skills training or through income generating projects which provide additional resources for local community support.

The Friends of ZOA UK
ZOA UK has a growing membership of Friends who may be from the Zambian community in the UK, British citizens who may have lived or worked in Zambia or others who have a particular commitment to supporting orphans in Africa. Friends commit themselves to a regular monthly or annual donation. This regular income stream is becoming particularly important to us as it will enable longer term commitments to be made to the children who we support.
If you would like to become a Friend or to make a donation please go to Membership of the Friends or
